Is it so difficult to ensure that the guidelines issued to make all facilities disabled friendly be implemented? Do the people who issued guidelines in this regard do not travel in the city and note that the guidelines are not being followed? Do the Hon. Judges of various courts who have passed judgements in this regard do not see that their judgements are not being implemented?
Take the simplest of all cases in New Delhi. The Bus stop. Prior to the CWG all bus stops got a face lift and a 'ramp', with stainless steel railing was made. Then some body else, presumably from the transport department, installed signages right in front of these ramps thus blocking them completely. Do the concerned officers never see the work done? Do they just do no realize the mistake made?
